A computer-implemented system and method for managing interconnected communication sessions within multi-step workflows. The system employs a directed graph data structure wherein communication sessions—including telephone calls, video conferences, and remote assistance sessions—are represented as nodes, and relationships between sessions are represented as edges encoding connection types such as transfers, splits, merges, and handoffs. A session orchestration engine automatically propagates contextual data including session transcripts, annotations, and participant accessibility preferences across related sessions based on the graph topology. The system supports dynamic session manipulation operations including merging multiple concurrent sessions into a unified session, splitting a single session into parallel derivative sessions, chaining sequential sessions for multi-stage processes, and transferring participants between active sessions. A rules-based security module governs contextual data inheritance by evaluating participant permissions and relationship types to ensure appropriate information access across session boundaries. The invention enables seamless continuity in complex multi-party communication workflows while maintaining data governance compliance.
